Required Text/Books: Orthodox Study Bible

This course is designed to prepare students for a basic understanding of the New Testament, the good news of Christ’s salvation. We will begin with a swift explanation of how the New Testament list of books came about. After that, we will move through specific stories and key events, and how they are central to our understanding of God, the world, and our personal situation.

Summary: Our approach will be broad and swift to help the student come to a basic knowledge of the books of the New Testament, understanding what the Gospel means in our fallen world. Our goal is to help the student appreciate the importance of the New Testament, its place in Christianity and in the Orthodox Church, and how it shapes and changes how we see life!
