This week, we have no reading before class, and no assignment due. We’ll simply meet on Wednesday afternoon to introduce ourselves to one another, and to go over the basics of what this course will cover.
We’ll consider the following ideas:
- Orthodoxy is a lived faith. What does that mean?
- Through the liturgical seasons, we unite ourselves to the life of Christ and to one another. How so?
- Orthodoxy includes both adherence to ‘big T’ Tradition and optional observance of ‘little t’ traditions. What is the difference between these two things? Why is one optional?
