Summary: Orthodoxy is a lived faith; it is most beautiful and transformative when it is woven into our day-to-day lives. Through the liturgical seasons, we unite ourselves to the life of Christ and to one another. Together, we’ll explore the twelve major feasts of the year, and many of the “little t” traditions that help us to express and experience our faith in beautiful and concrete ways. We’ll learn the stories of the feasts, why they matter, and how Orthodox people around the world bring them to life in their homes.
Families are welcome to join their students on our zoom calls.
Homework will include short readings as well as some baking and craft projects.
This course aims to acquaint students with the joys of living according to the liturgical seasons and of engaging the “little t” traditions of Orthodox cultures. The hope is to enrich the family’s spiritual journey.
