Academic Road Map

The roadmap is available to help parents select the most appropriate class level for their child. These are only recommendations.  For course descriptions go to main menu in Elementary, Middle, or High school.

We believe the roadmap for elementary school and foreign languages are self-explanatory, so we have only included middle and high school on this page.


English 6 – Level 1

English 7 – Level 2

English 11/12: A two-year rotation of curriculum


The Hobbit: 6th-8th grade (1/2 term offered Fall & Spring)

Aesop’s Fables: 8th to 12th

Golden Age Mysteries: 9th to 12th

Tolkien Literature: 11th or 12th grade

Creative Writing: 10th to 12th grade


Math 6

Math 7 (introduction to Pre-Algebra)

Math 8 (Pre-Algebra to introduction to Algebra) *Recommend completing Math 8 prior to taking high school level Algebra I

Algebra 1: 8th or 9th grade**

Geometry: 9th or 10th grade

Algebra 2: 10th or 11th grade


Personal Finance: 10th to 12th grade (1/2 term offered Fall & Spring)


Science 6: Building Blocks of Creation

Science 7

Science 8/9 *Recommend completing prior to taking high school level sciences: Biology, Marine Biology & Chemistry

Biology: 10th grade

Chemistry: 10th or 12th grade

Marine Biology: 10th – 12th grade


Health & Wellness: 11th or 12th grade (1/2 term class)

Forensics & Evidence: 10th to 12th


MS History I – Ancient: 6th to 8th grade

MS History II – Medieval Ages: 6th to 8th grade

MS History III – Modern: 6th to 8th grade

World History Survey: 8th/9th grade *Recommend completing MS History I, II, & III

Medieval Christendom East & West: 10th grade to 12th grade

American History & Geography: 11th to 12th grade

American Civics & Economics: 10th to 12th grade


Criminal Justice: 10th to 12th grade

Trials in History: 10th to 12th

Forensics & Evidence: 10th to 12th


3rd/4th grade: Orthodox Music & Worship

4th/5th grade: Bible Stories

6th/7th grade:  New Testament

6th to 8th grade: Encountering our Women Saints

7th or 8th grade:  Lives of the Saints

8th or 9th grade:  Virtues & Passions 

9th or 10th grade:  Compelling Conversations

9th to 11th grade:   Old Testament

Placement testing

To help in assessing which Math and/or Language Arts class, we recommend having your child take a placement test  before enrolling into a particular grade level.
